Nokia 7 announced: Here’s everything you need to know

HMD Global has finally made the Nokia 7 official. The device is essentially a mid-ranger having some pretty decent specifications and a very impressive design language.

Unlike the Nokia 6, the Nokia 7 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which looks way better than its predecessor. The back of the device is made up of glass which is one of the selling points of the device. The back looks absolutely stunning and is just like the flagship Nokia 8.

Let’s get to know the full specifications of the Nokia 7 in the #firstpost about the device.

Just like the Nokia 8, the Nokia 7 is also making use of what the company refers to as Dual-Sight Technology. This new tech allows the user to take pictures and videos from the front and the back camera simultaneously, thereby allowing us to capture both sides of the story or bothies as they call them. This is not something too extraordinary or something which hasn’t been done in the past. Why is Nokia advertising this feature this much – is a question yet unanswered.

The 4GB variant of the device would cost you somewhere around ¥2,499 (around US$377) whereas the 6GB variant would fetch ¥200 more (around US$407) from your pocket

There is a 3,000 mAh battery provided to keep the Nokia 7 running throughout the day. To power the device, there is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 chipset which is the usual norm for all the midrange smartphones as of late. On the memory front, we find 64GB of internal memory which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card. There are, however, different variants of the device available as far as the RAM is concerned. The 4GB variant of the device would cost you somewhere around ¥2,499 (around US$377) whereas the 6GB variant would fetch ¥200 more (around US$407) from your pocket.

As far as the software is concerned, the Nokia 7 does not ship with the latest Android update as it is running on Android Nougat out of the box. The company, however, has promised the device to get updated pretty soon.
